Becoming is an immersive exploration of identity, resilience, and self-liberation, created by photographer and story-holder, Lisa Renee Wilson. This project + gallery show brings together powerful portraits of eight individuals, paired with intimate video interviews and quotes that reveal each person’s journey within - and beyond - societal expectations.

Through their stories, we uncover the unique lessons and 'shoulds' that have shaped their lives—and witness the courage it takes to redefine oneself authentically.

Started as a small project, BECOMING has grown into a physical, virtual, and timeless space to celebrate the beauty of transformation and the freedom to live unapologetically.

The BECOMING gallery show opens December 6, 2024 at Gather:: Handmade Shoppe & Co in Bloomington, IN. Opening hours are from 5-8 pm (EST). It remains open throughout the month of December.
